Over the past two seasons Upper Deck has been working hard to cultivate rabid soccer fans into soccer card collectors. By sampling soccer cards at stadiums, limiting the total print run on new soccer releases and delivering plenty of value by including top talents, many of the Upper Deck’s recent game-worn memorabilia and autographed soccer cards trade for big bucks. With so much excitement about soccer coming off the American Women’s National team playing so well and the 2011 MLS Cup set to take place this Sunday, now is the perfect time for Upper Deck to debut the company’s high-end release; 2011 SP Game-Used Soccer!



There is a strong group of newcomers that collectors will likely want to capture from this season as well with Alex Morgan, Juan Agudelo, Charlie Davies and Thierry Henry topping that list. Fans can find two levels of rookie cards in this set limited to 499 or 99 total companies to ensure the item’s perception as a collectible in the marketplace.



“We have seen passionate soccer fans going crazy over game-worn memorabilia and autograph cards of their favorite soccer stars for the last couple seasons so we felt it was time to bring a release like 2011 SP Game-Used to the market,” said Jason Masherah, Upper Deck’s vice president of Marketing and Business Development. “The opportunity for fans to find a game-used memorabilia or autograph card in every pack will no doubt deliver a very exciting pack opening experience. With the total production so limited on this product, we hope collectors can enjoy cracking these packs while they are still available.”



Adding to the collectability on the memorabilia cards, collectors can find dual, triple and quad versions of the “Authentic Fabrics” cards where multiple players are featured on the same card. Also look for a Premium Series of these cards where rare multi-colored game-used memorabilia swatches are used. One of the most exciting memorabilia cards of the season will no doubt be the “Supreme Fabrics” cards which feature a massive multi-colored swatch from a game-used jersey limited to just 15 total copies. Lastly the “By the Letter” insert cards feature the actual letters from a game-used jersey of stars like Marta, Landon Donovan, Abby Wambach, David Beckham and more!



And don’t forget the autographs! Collectors can score some insane signed cards of top soccer stars in packs of 2011 SP Game-Used Soccer. Raphael Marquez, Juan Pablo Angel, Abby Wambach, Landon Donovan, Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastain, Juan Agudelo and Alex Morgan are just some of the players who will have autograph cards in the set. Also look for super rare dual and triple signed autograph cards.



Soccer fans will find three cards per pack and six packs per box for 2011 SP Game-Used Soccer which is currently available in stores.
