BE CAREFUL: CREDIT CARD FRAUD ALERT TO ALL RETAILERS
One of Grosnor's customers was swindled $130,000 in credit card charge backs over a period of 30-60 days allegedly by this man pictured below along with 4 other men and women who are targeting this industry.
These people will gain your trust with smaller transactions then start to build up. The credit cards used are most likely stolen.
We would like to alert everyone in order to prevent this from happening to you!
Please do not share sensitive information to people you do not know or people who seem suspicious.
Allegedly, this man drives a dark blue Mercedes
Possibly lives in Ontario, Quebec, and/or Alberta area
 The most effective way to protect yourself from credit card fraud is by taking preventative measures wherever possible.
Grosnor takes suspicious or fraudulent activities very seriously. Credit card fraud occurs when an unauthorized person gains access to your information and uses it to make purchases.
Here are some ways they get your information:
Lost or stolen cards
Criminals can obtain credit cards by either finding them after they have become lost or stealing them from someone’s possession.
Card-not-present fraud
This type of fraud does not require the criminal to have a physical credit card. Instead, they will obtain basic details, such as the account holder's name, the credit card number, and the expiration date. They will then ask to input the credit card number manually.
Phishing Attempts such as Fake Emails
Similar to overcharge scams, phishing scams pose as a legitimate company or service but provide fraudulent instructions or links in order to gain access to sensitive information.
Over the telephone
Scammers often use call-spoofing technology to display fake phone numbers on your call display
