“Pirates of the 7 Seas” is the follow up game from the designers of “Mysterium”, Oleksandr Nevskiy and Oleg Sidorenko.

IDW was given the opportunity to distribute the english version of this game just last week. Sell sheet and the rule book attached.

The game will be showcased at Essen in October… but will actually be shipping 10 weeks before that!

The design team behind the smash-hit Mysterium invites you to enter into unknown waters with Pirates of the 7 Seas! And they mean it: All hands ahoy, because this isn't you're average pirate game. In fact, it's unlike any board game. Take a turn for the topsy-turvy, where the top of this very tin serves as the board, your dice are your ships and where they land on the board means as much as what you roll! Choose to remain an independent vagabond, or maybe cut a deal with a Governor to become all official-like in your pirating ways. Consult with a Shaman to curse the other pirates or pay a visit to the Cartographer to find a map with some hidden treasure.

Pirates of the 7 Seas is an innovative, fast and competitive board game about pirates. It is full of everyday events from usual pirate life: plundering, horrific gigantic krakens and old maps. Adventures, new ports and powerful rituals are waiting for you. Sometimes pirates have to rely on the other pirates, but don’t forget that you can get stabbed in the back anytime. In the game you choose the character whose action you’d like to play. Each of the characters has his own ability to help you get rich quickly. Turn begins with the players chooses the card of character whose action he is going to play and puts it face-down in front of himself. When everyone has chosen their character cards the first player announces the characters one by one. When you hear your character you reveal your character card and play your adventure, curse or port card and everyone gets involved in a new adventure, which usually ends with a grandiose sea battles, or some curse or finding a new port.

This game has a lot of amazing pirate moments for you: plundering, betrayals, and gold, definitely.
